Jogging
Carl,
What a joy to see you out jogging near the high school. Me in my truck, heading to a haircut appointment. You in the morning sun, a glowing outline, running like a flower in the breeze. I'm so glad we shared a smile—eyes connecting, hands waving, stirring the air we share. I felt seen. I felt alive and breathing. Your shoes pressing and releasing from the sidewalk, pumping oxygen into my soul. I felt your love and care. A passing moment, carved into my dreams.
